Direct Printed Foamex Panels and Correx Boards
For large full colour print onto rigid materials, we recommend either Foamex or Correx. These two materials are very different, Foamex is extremely versatile, being used for exhibition panels, high quality signage and wall mounts, and Correx mainly used for builders sign, it's very light weight and economical. Then there's Kapa-line, which we'd recommend as a lightweight material great for hanging in shops (point of sale). See below for more details on each media.

Foamex Panels
Foamex also known as PVC board (forex classic foam pvc), is an expanded closed cell structure foamed PVC with smooth silky matt surface. It is rigid and lightweight and probably the most used material for signage. It is excellent for both indoor and out door use (totally weatherproof) It won't rot or swell. We print on it, using solvent inks which are UV safe and do not fade in sunlight. Foamex is strong, flexible and durable and can be screwed, riveted or nailed to any surface and it doesnt need framing either because of its crumble free edges reducing dust and debris.
Excellent for use as exhibition panels, (fitting suggly into 'shell scheme' exhibitions (ask exhibition organisor for exact panel size). Foam is also be used for Lifesize cutouts, Perfect for displays, advertising, exhibition boards and interior signs, instore graphics, point of sale, and all types of signs, both permanent and temporary.

Correx Board
Corex, Correx... also known as fluted polypropylene board and PP corregated board. Constructed just like corregated cardboard, with a hollow box tube centre. It's suitable for both internal and external use. It's very lightweight and totally waterproof. It is intended more for short term temporary use. It's economical, light and rigid. Excellent for trade boards, for use by tradesmen... while working on a house (for instance). Very popular for estate agents 'for sale' boards.
Used for Site signs, Builders signs, Warning signs, Road signs, Licensee signs and all types of temporary signage. It's not intended for use as a fixed sign... This is more suited to Foamex above.

Kapa-line Foam Board
Kapa-line is a pure white rigid foamboard. A light polyurethane foam core sandwiched between white pigmented imitation chromo board. Used extensively for hanging displays (from shop ceilings etc), lifesize popups (shop window displays and counter tops), modelling, frame photographs, point of sale, exhibitions etc Not recommended for wall mounting but very much the right media for printing and hanging. as it's extremely lightweight (and won't hurt if it falls on someone), but it can be fairly easily dented... so out of reach, out of danger.
