Face Media Group have been named as a runner-up at the 2013 National Apprenticeship Awards!
Face Media Group are delighted to announce that we have been named as a runner-up out of 1,600 nominations in the National Apprenticeship Awards 2013 for the South Central region.
The Awards, attended by around 100 people, were held at Fareham College on the 10th of September where Face Media Group were nominated in the 'Investors in People Award for Apprenticeship Employer Newcomer of the Year' category and were put forward for the nomination by Chichester College.
The award comes after Kerri Stakim was named apprentice of the year for Chichester College in 2012. The Awards were attended by Kerri as well as by Lisa Seymour who has encouraged the development of apprentices at Face Media Group.
"They (our apprentices) never fail to impress me with their interest, commitment and passion for their jobs". - Lisa Seymour
One of the more prominent guests of the evening included Bob Baker, who was an apprentice himself, and has gone onto be a very successful film and television writer who has contributed towards many of the Wallace and Gromit films and was the creator of the Doctor Who character K-9. As well as creating a character, he has also written a number of scripts for the sci-fi series.
The event was hosted by the hospitality and catering students of Fareham College and the evening was a great success. Face Media Group were delighted to be nominated by Chichester College and remain passionate about our commitment to the apprenticeships scheme.
The Awards aim to raise the profile of the apprenticeship scheme and highlight the positive impact they have on individuals and businesses. After our first apprentice won apprentice of the year, we now have six apprentices and are at the heart of our growing business.
